Change is here I have a different approach to art now days. Instead of looking at my work from the vantage point of ‘would someone else like this?’ … it’s simply for me. Do I like it? If yes, I keep it. If no, I ditch it. Simple as that. It’s also a little deeper than that in terms of how I start or finish something. I have a style I’m investigating right now. It’s something I happened upon by accident and turned out to be something I really like. I’m going to continue in this direction for a while and see what happens. It’s also part of the fact that I feel something shifting in my life. It was a small shift and has now turned into a big one. And I’m not exactly sure what it is. My art reflects this shift. Everything from the way I start, to the way I work on a piece, to the way I finish one, is different now. This piece has made me realize that the change is here and I’ve had a paradigm shift in my thought process and as far as what is possible. I’m thinking outside the box. I now feel empowered to explore this new shift. I’m very excited to see what comes out of this. Thank you for taking the time to read this and to look at my art. It touches my heart!
