Artist's Description

This piece was created by referencing a photo I had taken on my phone of an amazing sunset one evening. This was done with alcohol ink and I had to be so careful not to let the orange and blue colors mix with each other. I would have gotten brown, if they had. I got all the blue down on the page first. Then I covered the whole page and got it how I wanted with some white (for clouds) showing too. I then went in and removed some of the blue out of the middle and got the paper back to bright white. About KC Pollak

KC Pollak

I have been an artist all my life, ever since I could hold a pencil. I have always loved to draw and paint. My styles have varied over the years from realism to abstract and everything in between. The mediums I most enjoy working with are: oil, prismacolor, charcoal, graphite, watercolor, pen & ink, alcohol ink, and acrylic. Currently I am experiencing a mammoth amount of creative freedom working on abstract art. In 2013 I donated one of my kidneys to a young woman who had only been born with one very diseased kidney. Since then she has been thriving and going to college and living her life. I consider this such a privilege and i'm so happy I was a match for her. I have lived all over the country. I primarily grew up in Woodland...
