Artist's Description

This piece was created by referencing a photo I had taken on my phone of an amazing sunset one evening. This was done with alcohol ink and I had to be so careful not to let the orange and blue colors mix with each other. I would have gotten brown, if they had. I got all the blue down on the page first. Then I covered the whole page and got it how I wanted with some white (for clouds) showing too. I then went in and removed some of the blue out of the middle and got the paper back to bright white. Oranges and yellows where then added to the center and I worked very hard not to let them mix much with the blue hues around them. About KC Pollak

KC Pollak

I have been an artist all my life, ever since I could hold a pencil. I have always loved to draw and paint. My styles have varied over the years from realism to abstract and everything in between. The mediums I most enjoy working with are: oil, prismacolor, charcoal, graphite, watercolor, pen & ink, alcohol ink, and acrylic. Currently I am experiencing a mammoth amount of creative freedom working on abstract art. In 2013 I donated one of my kidneys to a young woman who had only been born with one very diseased kidney. Since then she has been thriving and going to college and living her life. I consider this such a privilege and i'm so happy I was a match for her. I have lived all over the country. I primarily grew up in Woodland...
