Artist's Description
Are black holes really black? What if they're not? What if they are filled with colors that our eyes cannot see? What if they're filled with colors that our imaginations have yet to comprehend? What if? I love to ponder things like this and try to somehow relate that to my art. I tried to work the colors in a way that would make someone ask about what it is. It's not just an abstract of random colors in random places. It might be something in our galaxy or universe or somewhere else entirely. With this in mind the possibilities are endless! They really are. This is just the beginning.
I used alcohol ink on Austrailan s-ink paper. This paper is only available from Australia but is worth the wait for it. It's amazing paper. The inks move so well on it. I just love it! The colors I used here are Ranger Adirondak's, pitch black, shell pink, and salmon. I love how these colors melted into each other. Really fun combination. About KC Pollak

I have been an artist all my life, ever since I could hold a pencil. I have always loved to draw and paint. My styles have varied over the years from realism to abstract and everything in between. The mediums I most enjoy working with are: oil, prismacolor, charcoal, graphite, watercolor, pen & ink, alcohol ink, and acrylic. Currently I am experiencing a mammoth amount of creative freedom working on abstract art. In 2013 I donated one of my kidneys to a young woman who had only been born with one very diseased kidney. Since then she has been thriving and going to college and living her life. I consider this such a privilege and i'm so happy I was a match for her. I have lived all over the country.
