Artist's Description

This was inspired by an artist (Rinske Douna) who is fantastic at doing pours. Dutch pours to be exact. Her technique is clean and wonderful. This was my first attempt at a dutch pour. I used blow dryer as my main tool, along with the fluid paint. I also used a wide straw for creating some details and blew the colors out in certain areas where I wanted more details. The thing that makes this pour special is that it’s the first one I have been able to do since last fall. The winter in western Colorado this year has been brutal! About KC Pollak

KC Pollak

I have been an artist all my life, ever since I could hold a pencil. I have always loved to draw and paint. My styles have varied over the years from realism to abstract and everything in between. The mediums I most enjoy working with are: oil, prismacolor, charcoal, graphite, watercolor, pen & ink, alcohol ink, and acrylic. Currently I am experiencing a mammoth amount of creative freedom working on abstract art. In 2013 I donated one of my kidneys to a young woman who had only been born with one very diseased kidney. Since then she has been thriving and going to college and living her life. I consider this such a privilege and i'm so happy I was a match for her. I have lived all over the country. I primarily grew up in Woodland...
