The Shifting Foothills are where Abigail calls home. The color of the scene here always seems to be in perpetual sunrise or sunset. The golden colors and the waving wheat are magnificent. Even in the monotony of endless fields of wheat. No matter the time of day, the colors conjure up the drama of a day beginning anew or of a day ending in quite colors and solitude. The wheat and grasses wave in the perpetual breeze. The hills seem to wave too, and the hills go out onto the horizon for what looks to be forever. Abigail walks slowly, lightly touching the tips of the wheat with her fingers as she moves. This view, this scene, never gets old. She never takes it for granted. Every time she thinks back on this place, she always feels calm and comfort. Because it’s home.
I have been an artist all my life, ever since I could hold a pencil. I have always loved to draw and paint. My styles have varied over the years from realism to abstract and everything in between. The mediums I most enjoy working with are: oil, prismacolor, charcoal, graphite, watercolor, pen & ink, alcohol ink, and acrylic. Currently I am experiencing a mammoth amount of creative freedom working on abstract art. In 2013 I donated one of my kidneys to a young woman who had only been born with one very diseased kidney. Since then she has been thriving and going to college and living her life. I consider this such a privilege and i'm so happy I was a match for her. I have lived all over the country.
