Artist's Description

This piece was done over the course of several months. From the time I was a little girl I have always kept a sort of unorganized dream journal. I had always intended to do several paintings/drawings portraying them. One day I decided to put them all into one big piece and blend them into each other. Very slowly I started drawing them out with pencil. From there I used pen & ink and Prismacolor colored pencils to color bring them to life. This was a very interesting process. It dredged up some strange things emotionally. It freed me in some ways. It was part of my brain’s subconscious now coming out into the light of day. Yikes! About KC Pollak

KC Pollak

I have been an artist all my life, ever since I could hold a pencil. I have always loved to draw and paint. My styles have varied over the years from realism to abstract and everything in between. The mediums I most enjoy working with are: oil, prismacolor, charcoal, graphite, watercolor, pen & ink, alcohol ink, and acrylic. Currently I am experiencing a mammoth amount of creative freedom working on abstract art. In 2013 I donated one of my kidneys to a young woman who had only been born with one very diseased kidney. Since then she has been thriving and going to college and living her life. I consider this such a privilege and i'm so happy I was a match for her. I have lived all over the country. I primarily grew up in Woodland...
