These are two of the best of friends as well as sisters. They get together every afternoon for coffee and conversation. This drawing was many years ago, before both sisters passed away. I’m so glad I was able to capture these silly ladies by drawing their back sides. They were both precious and sweet and dear to my heart. One of them was my mother. It captures one of the moments out thousands of moments they spent together. I originally intended for this to be a graphite drawing then decided to bring color into it. Without color it just wouldn’t be the same. Thanks for having a look at this silly drawing of my mother and her sister. I hope it brings a smile to your face.
I have been an artist all my life, ever since I could hold a pencil. I have always loved to draw and paint. My styles have varied over the years from realism to abstract and everything in between. The mediums I most enjoy working with are: oil, prismacolor, charcoal, graphite, watercolor, pen & ink, alcohol ink, and acrylic. Currently I am experiencing a mammoth amount of creative freedom working on abstract art. In 2013 I donated one of my kidneys to a young woman who had only been born with one very diseased kidney. Since then she has been thriving and going to college and living her life. I consider this such a privilege and i'm so happy I was a match for her. I have lived all over the country.
